Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 27, 2026 · Last updated: October 27, 2026
The Hot Tub Houdini LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) repairs and services hot tubs and spas across Florida. This policy explains what personal information we collect through thehottubhoudini.com, our phone and text messaging, and our service visits, how we use it, and who we share it with. Questions about this policy can be sent to Service@TheHotTubHoudini.com or to (727) 900-5097.
1. Information we collect
- Service request details you give us: first and last name, phone number, email address, service address (street, city, ZIP and county), hot tub make and model, the service you need and any message you write.
- Appointment and service records: appointment times, the status of a booking (for example, confirmed, declined or rescheduled), service notes, photos you send us for diagnosis, and invoices and payment status.
- Text message records: the messages we send you, the replies you send us (such as YES, NO, CHANGE, STOP or HELP), and whether you have opted out of texts.
- Website data: basic usage information collected by our analytics and advertising tags (for example, pages viewed and approximate location). We do not use a contact form to collect payment card numbers.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your service request, give you a quote and schedule a visit.
- To send appointment texts and emails: booking confirmations, scheduling offers, appointment changes and service updates.
- To route technicians efficiently, including calculating driving distances between addresses using Google Maps services.
- To invoice you, take payment and keep service and warranty records.
- To honor your opt-out requests and to keep a record that you have opted out, so we do not text you again.
- To improve our website and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
3. Mobile phone numbers and text message consent
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile phone number and your text message opt-in or consent are used only to send you messages about your own service request or appointment. We do not sell, rent, or transfer mobile phone numbers or opt-in data to anyone, and we do not share them with lead generators or other businesses for their marketing.
We use a messaging provider, Twilio, to deliver our text messages. Twilio processes your phone number and the message content only to deliver messages for us. Sharing with subcontractors that support our service, such as our messaging provider and the cloud software we use to keep our records, is allowed. These providers may not use your mobile information for their own marketing.
You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. See our SMS Program Terms for details.
4. Who we share information with
We share personal information only as needed to run our business:
- Twilio (text message delivery).
- Google (Google Workspace email and calendar, the cloud spreadsheet we use to store customer and appointment records, cloud hosting, and Google Maps distance and address services).
- Square (invoicing and card payment processing, when you pay by card).
- EasyPost (shipping labels, only for parts we ship to you; receives the shipping address).
- Legal authorities, when we are required to by law or to protect our rights or safety.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google analytics and advertising tags, which may set cookies on your device. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through Google’s ad settings.
6. How long we keep information
We keep service and invoice records for as long as needed to provide service, warranty and tax and accounting obligations. Text message opt-out records are kept so that we can honor your request. You can ask us to delete other personal information at any time, subject to the records we must keep by law.
7. Your choices and rights
- Opt out of texts: reply STOP to any of our messages.
- Access, correction or deletion: email or call us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it.
- Email: you can ask us to stop non-essential email at any time.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including access limits on our records and encrypted connections to our website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Our services are for adults who own or manage a hot tub or spa. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
